Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra will miss New Zealand's ODI series against India due to injuries. Tim Seifert, Henry Nicholls, and Dean Foxcroft have been called in as replacements.

Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra are out of New Zealand's five-match ODI series against India. Both need more time to recover from injuries, so the team has called in replacements. Tim Seifert, Henry Nicholls, and Dean Foxcroft are the new faces in the squad. ### Injury Updates on Chapman and Ravindra An MRI scan showed that Chapman's left hamstring needs another two weeks of rehab. He tore it at the European T20 Premier League in September. Ravindra's right shoulder hasn't healed enough for him to field at full capacity. He hurt it during a promotional shoot, also in September. The team is also keeping his workload in mind with a Test series coming up later this month. Head coach Rob Walter said the team is disappointed to lose both players. "Chapman is working hard to get back," Walter said after speaking with him last week. As for Ravindra, Walter added, "We don't want to take any unnecessary risks with the Test series approaching." ### New Zealand Squad Changes for India ODIs Seifert, who was originally named only for the last two ODIs, is now in the squad for the entire series. Nicholls, who turns 35 this month, joins for the first three matches. Foxcroft, currently playing in the red-ball series between New Zealand A and India A, will link up for the final two games. Nicholls returns after scoring 119 while opening the batting for Canterbury in the Ford Trophy on Saturday. He has played 92 ODIs for New Zealand and was part of the squad that toured the West Indies in July. Matthew Fisher was initially picked for the last two games only, but he has now been included for the full series as an additional bowling option. Matt Henry, who was ruled out midway through the T20I series against India, joined the ODI squad on Monday. The team management will assess whether he is fit to play. > "It's never easy to lose two key players, but we have full confidence in the replacements," Walter said. ### New Zealand's Updated ODI Squad For the first three ODIs, the squad is: Mitchell Santner (captain), Michael Bracewell, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matthew Fisher, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham (wicketkeeper), Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, Nathan Smith, Will Young, and Blair Tickner. For the last two ODIs: Santner (captain), Finn Allen, Bracewell, Kristian Clarke, Duffy, Fisher, Dean Foxcroft, Lockie Ferguson, Mitchell Hay (wicketkeeper), Nick Kelly, Seifert (wicketkeeper), Tickner, and Young. The first ODI will be played at Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday, November 4. India's squad has also seen changes, with Ishan Kishan set to serve as vice-captain for the fourth and fifth games once Test players depart. Stay tuned for more cricket news and updates.
